which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of
being crushed by
a damaged automotive lifts.
On or about 10/23/2007, employees were exposed to automobile lifts that
had damaged
components such as leaking hydraulic lines and worn, rusted lifting arms,
and unbalanced safety
stops which were affecting the safety of the equipment in the vehicle
service areas at 1618 N.
Roosevelt Blvd., Key West, FL 33040.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is the repair
or replacement of the damaged vehicle lifts as specified by the service
tech equipment
inspection.
