Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Location - 70 Stockton Street, Chelsea, MA: On or about 09/19/07, an employee was exposed to being struck by motor vehicles when he was working on a public street while not being provided with a high visibility vest or garment. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement method to correct the hazard is to provide employees with suitable warning vests and require them to be worn when employees are exposed to vehicular traffic.
