Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At Frater Food Service HNC Fuego Argentino in the kitchen area, was observed a fixed stairs with with the edges of the steps deteriorated causing falls to the employees. The employees were performing food preparation works and they need to use the stair several times per day to look for provisions for the restaurant. Hazard: Falls. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method is repair the edges of the steps in the stair. En Frater Food Service HNC Fuego Argentino en el area de la cocina, fue observada una escalera fija con los filos de los escalones deteriorados causando caidas a los empleados. Los empleados estaban realizando trabajos de preparacion de comidas y necesitaban usar la escalera varias veces al dia para buscar provisiones para el restaurante. Riesgo: Caidas. Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este problema es reparar los filos de los escalones en la escalera.
