Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At Pro Sales Company, Inc., warehouse, the employees were moving, dispatching and storing: boxes, packages and containers of merchandise, moving empty wood pallets, recollecting garbage and sweeping the floor. Beams, columns and boards of wood shelfs,risers of the wood stairway that provided access to the mezzanie and the mezzannie wood floor had damage due to termite infestation. The mezzannie floor had many holes without any protection type. Hazard: Contact with dust and allergens. Among other correction method, a feasible and acceptable to correct this hazards is to repair the damage to the shelfs and the mezzannie. En el almacen de "Pro Sales Company, Inc.," los empleados movian, despachaban y almacenaban: cajas, paquetes y envases de mercancia, movian paletas de madera vacias, recojian basura y barrian el piso. Vigas, columnas y tablillas de los anaqueles de madera, escalones de la escalera de madera que daba acceso al entresuelo y el piso en madera del entresuelo presentaban deterioro debido a que habian sido atacados por la polilla. El piso del entresuelo tenia varios huecos sin ningun tipo de proteccion. Riesgos: Golpeados por pedazos de madera, tropezones y caidas. Entre otros metodos de correccion, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo seria reparar el dano de los anaqueles y el entresuelo.
