At the DE Francisco Oller School, the teachers were performing educational
task, took
care of groups of on 20 students by group. The air conditioning system, in
the library
and in several classrooms, was not working. The guillotine type windows in
the
classrooms prevented adecuate air circulation. Even with fans, at
approximately
10:00
am the temperature exceeded the recommended range (73-79 fahrenheit
degrees)
established in ANSI/ASHRAE 55-1992, Table 3.

Los salones contaban con ventanas tipo guillotina, este sistema impedia la

adecuada de aire. Aun cuando habia abanicos, aproximadamente a las 10:00am
se
tomaron medidas de temperatura que sobrepasaron los valores recomendados
