At the left side of the building under construction of the Emilio R.
Delgado School:
Employees were observed walking on the ramp that provided access to the
second level
of the building. The ramp varied in height from 0'feet to 8 feet of height
in its highest
point. The deck of ramp was made of pliedwood panels, the uprights were
made of
tubular welded frame scaffolds that were missing crosscing and the bearers
were
unstable. Under the ramp and nearby it was observed scrap from the
construction such
as: rocks, metals pieces, cinder blocks pieces under the ramp, and other
materials that
made the fall hazard more dangerous. The employees were plastering walls
in the second
floor of the building.
Hazard: Moving the Ramp.
Among other method, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is making a new ramp with a strong structure.

R. Delgado: Los
