a) Worksites such as, but not limited to, 63 Mount Pleasant Ave, East Hanover, NJ Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Employees exposed to the hazard of chemical asphyxiation from Carbon Monoxide accumulation due to combustion engine machines used indoors or near doorways including a Miller Welding Machine, a Bobcat 316, a Bobcat 463, and a Stihl Cutting Saw. FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHODS, AMONG OTHERS, TO CORRECT THE HAZARD ARE TO: 1) Use combustion engine machines according to manufacturer safe operating procedures (Only use in open, well ventilated areas). 2) Provide adequate ventilation using mechanical ventilation such as fans or exhaust. Violation observed on or about 8-16-07
