Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) Date:07/16/07 Location:East Wall of Building Condition:Employees installing metal plate connected wood trusses in a structure 125 feet long by 62 feet wide were not protected from collapse of the truss structure by temporary bracing. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to install bracing of the type and at the locations and in the manner specified in the truss manufacturer's Truss Erection Plan, a copy of which was provided to the employer.
