Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the condition(s) listed below: Rod Ric Corporation, Rig 10, GW OBrien #761 W, Winkler County. For the period of time up to and including 10/20/07, employees were not trained to recognize the hazards associated with continuing operations, such as fishing, on a drilling rig while the rig was un-level. Acceptable Abatement Methods: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to avoid operations until the rig has been re-leveled.
