Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to crushing and/or struck by hazards: (a) Fabrication Shop: On or about September 5, 2008, frequent and periodic inspections of the monorail, bridge and jib cranes are not being conducted. The cranes are used by the employees under normal operating conditions. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct this hazard is to perform frequent and periodic inspections in accordance with ASME B30.11-2004, American National Standard for Monorails and Underhung Cranes, Sections 11-2.1.2 and 11- 2.1.3..2
