North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to electrical shock: a) Migrant H2A farm workers in a temporary labor camp site were exposed to: 1) Electrical wall outlets located in the bathroom, and kitchen were missing outlet covers and exposing live electrical wires. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating these violations is provide housing for migrant workers with permanent wiring that meets local building codes, the National Electric Code and any other applicable standards and or codes.rds
