employer did not furnish to each of his employees  conditions of
employment
and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees, in
that employees were exposed to the hazard of electrical shock and burns
from an electrical outlet that was
within six feet of three water sources and not ground fault protected.
a) Two story, wood framed temporary labor camp located at 711 Allensville
Road, Roxboro, NC--the dwelling
was not provided with ground fault protection on an electrical outlet
located between the bathroom sink and
washing machine.  In addition to these two water sources, less than six
feet away, there was a leak in the ceiling
above this electrical outlet.  Seven migrant farm workers were occupying
the temporary labor camp.
ABATEMENT NOTE: Among others, one feasible and acceptable means of
abatement would be to ground
fault the electrical outlet to ensure that it would meet local building
code and National Electrical Code
standards.
