Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando
o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a)At the Juan Lino Santiago Elementary School in the lunch room - Its was
observed cracks in the walls and the ceiling, wich one can create doubt of
the
structure stability.  The employer did not perform any structural study by
a
certified Engineer that evaluate the facilities.  The employees were
observed
performing food preparation works.  The "Autoridad de Edificios Publicos"
was
the owner of the building.
Hazard:  structure fails.
Among other correction method, one feasible and acceptable method is
perform
a structure study by a certified engineer.
a)En la Escuela Juan Lino Santiago en el area del comedor - Se observaron
grietas
en las paredes y techo, las cuales ponian en duda la estabilidad de la
estructura.
El patrono no habia realizado un estudio de la estructura por un Ingeniero
certificado que evaluara el area.  Lo empleados fueron observados
realizando sus
trabajos para la preparacion de alimentos.  La Autoridad de Edificios
Publicos era
dueno del edificio.
Riesgo:  fallas de la estructura.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable es
realizar un
estudio de la estructura por un Ingeniero certificado, entre otros."cado,
