Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a)contusions, injuries, and fractures from sliding and collapsing of material stored in tiers. In the Warehouse of Econo Supermarket at Cabo Rojo Plaza, employees were using a 7 1/2 feet high platform ladder to reach material stored in tiers 15 to 20 feet high. Employees pulled materials from the bottom of tiers or knocked down material on top of tiers because the platform ladder provided was to short. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO PROVIDE A HIGHER PLATFORM LADDER" a)contusiones, heridas y fracturas por material que deslizado y colapsado de estibas de materiales almacenados. En el supermercado Econo en Cabo Rojo los empleados utilizaban una escalera de plataforma de 7 1/2 pies de alto para alcanzar material almacenado en estibas a alturas de 15 a 20 pies. Los empleados halaban el material de la parte baja de las estibas o tumbaban el material en la parte alta debido a que la escalera provista era muy corta.
