a)Workplace - nail designer employee handled the acrylic nail product (CND
Retention + Sculpting Liquid ). The employer kept the required ventilation
system turned off during working hours permiting an increasing
concentration of
a the explosive component Ethyl Methacrylate.
Hazard: respiratory tract irritation, allergies, headache, and explosion.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard
is: to provide a ventilation system at the point of use (working tables)
and keeping
the ventilation system on until all the contaminant vapors are removed
from the
workplace.
a)Lugar de trabajo - empleado de diseno de una manejaban el producto para
unas
acrilicas (CND Retention + Sculpting liquid). El patrono mantenia el
sistema de
ventilacion requerido apagado permitiendo un incremento de la
concentracion del
componente altamente explosivo Ethyl Methacrylate.
Riesgo: irritacion del tracto respiratorio, alergias, dolor de cabeza y
explosion.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir
este riesgo es el siguiente: Proveer un sistema de ventilacion en el punto
de
uso
(mesas de trabajo) y mantener el sistema de ventilacion prendido hasta que
todos
los vapores contaminantes hallan sido removidos del area de trabajo."
