causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in

exposed to flying casting pieces, components and test fluid:
(a)Employee(s) in the machine shop by column K23 are exposed to struck by
hazards from cast iron compressor parts and Quakercool 6219 when visually
inspecting the cast iron parts for leaks during hydrostatic pressure
testing of
reciprocating cast iron compressor housings and components.  Struck-by
hazards
exist in the event the cast iron parts and compressor were to become over
pressurized.
One feasible means of abatement would be to conduct the testing in an
enclosed test stand that
would contain cast iron compressor pieces, components and test fluid in
the event a failure
occurs.
Certification, and documentation/evidence of abatement is required.
Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be
submitted within ten (10)
calendar days after the abatement date.ment
