servicing vehicles were exposed to an unexpected descending Snap On
vehicle lift
because the safety latch on the left side of the lift was not defective.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement
repair and replace the
defective safety latch. Follow and comply with the ANSI/ALI-ALOIM-2000
standard, Section
5.6.2.16, "On lifts employing continuous locking systems, check to ensure
that the locks are
operational and engage in all the intended points.

employees were using compressed air to operate pneumatic tools. The
compressed air
was transported and distributed through schedule 40 PVC piping 3/4 inch to
1-1/2 inch
in diameter.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to replace the PVC pipe with a metal piping system.
