Employees were exposed to a fire hazard from a Dayton 6C503 Dust Collector
used with a
Wilton 4200A Belt/Disc Sander on which aluminum, titanium and stainless
steel were sanded.
Violation observed on or about 5/22/08.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is the
following:
Utilize a dust collector designed for metal dust and installed according
to NFPA 484.
