On or about 10/20/09, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while
operating the
Skyjack aerial lift on a sloped embankment with the basket raised & the
counterweight
facing downwards.
Among other methods, feasible and useful methods to abate this hazard is
to follow the
manufacturers operators manual in that you ensure that the lift is level
on a firm surface,
using if necessary, adequate stable pilings or other adequate supports to
ensure that the
machine is level.e
