Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a crushing hazard: (a)Virginia Street - Materials Staging Area: An employee was riding on the side of a New Holland, model number 655E, end loader while transporting material from the jobsite to the materials staging area, as observed on and at times prior to 10/29/2008. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the safety guidelines in the operations manual. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
