Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:07/28/08 Location:Car Wash Bay Condition:"The hazardous material observed included but is not limited to Sterling Wheel Brightener TM 113, which is a corrosive chemical, were not provided with an eyewash capable of providing at least 15 minutes of continuous flushing awithin the work area for immediate emergency use." Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to comply with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1, "Emergency Eye Wash and Shower Equipment."
