Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing injuries: Parking Lot: An employee operating the Toyota forklift # 69893 was not wearing the seat belt restraint system. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable way to correct this hazard is to: Require and enforce the use of seat belts when the forklift is operated.
