Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards and crushing hazards: Jobsite located at the Naval Submarine Base, Goulet Street, Lot North of Commissary, Groton, Connecticut: An electrical feeder was run from an existing building to a live tree and then to the side of the jobsite trailer. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to: Have a qualified person attach the feeder to an acceptable support structure in accordance with the provisions of the National Electric Code. Abatement Certification is Not Required
