Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were observed operating a forklift truck while not wearing the factory installed seat belt, exposed the employee to Fall hazards: Floor Plant: Employee were observed operating a forklift truck# 90081, while not wearing the factory installed seat belt. Amongs others, one feasible and acceptable methods to correct the hazard is to re-train employees regarding the importance of wearing the seatbelt provided and by enforcing the company policy that seatbelts must be used each and every time the truck is used. Specific abatement documentation is required.tion
