causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in

exposed to fire and explosion hazards:
Employees working in and adjacent to the Solid Surface Material
Storage/Shipping Area were
exposed to fire and explosion hazards for the following conditions:
a)The dust collector was located inside the Solid Surface Material
Storage/Shipping
area.
b)The exhaust from the dust collector was not discharged outside.
Among other feasible and acceptable methods to correct these hazards are
to follow NFPA
664 Prevention of Fire and Dust Explosions in Wood Processing and
Woodworking
Facilities, 2007 Edition including, move the dust collector outside as per
Section 8.2.2.5.14.
"Where and explosion hazard exists and ensure the exhaust is vented
outside as per Section
8.2.2.6 "Exhaust air from the final air-material separator shall be
discharged outside unless
provisions 8.2.2.6.1, 8.2.2.6.2, 8.2.2.6.3, or 8.2.2.6.4 are met.
29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1) requires certification and documentation that the
abatement of the
above violation is completed.
