Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by vehicular traffic: a.On or about June 3, 2008, at the intersection of State Road 21 and Spencer Street, an employee directing traffic was exposed to being struck by oncoming vehicles because he did not have a flag or an alternative traffic device such as but not limited to a stop sign. Among other methods, recognized and feasible means of abatement to correct this hazard include, but are not limited to: Full implementation of the applicable elements required by the State of Florida Department of Transportation, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Millennium Edition), June 2001. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE NOT REQUIRED.TION
