Condition:Employees using Sysco Oven and grill Cleaner # 8461790, which
has a pH of 13.7,
were provided with a plumbed eye wash station with a valve actuator which
was too
small to be easily located and operated by the user, the flushing streams
were unequal
in height and would not flush both eyes simultaneously and were connected
to both cold
and hot (150 to 170 degrees  F.) water which could result in eye injury.
Among other methods, one feasible and  acceptable  method to correct these
hazrds is to provide an approved
eyewash meeting ANSI Z358.1 Standards.
