Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a spray booth that was not equipped with a fire suppression system: a.) Spray Booth - employees were potentially exposed to fire hazards and burn injuries during the use of 4746 Veneer Washcoat 2 (flashpoint approximately 100 degrees Farenheit) while spraying the ends of pallet-sized loads of boards in a spray booth that was not equipped with a fire suppression system. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means to correct the condition include following the guidelines set forth in NFPA 33 Standard for Spray Application Using Flammable or Combustible Materials.e
