Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El
patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Employes of Koper Furniture Inc., were exposed to domestic violence in the
workplaced,
to exposed to due illnesses, injuries and fatalities. The employer did not
provide training
to his employees related to the establishment written protocol for the
handling of
domestic violence in the workplace, as required by the Act for the
Implementation of a
Protocol to Handle Domestic Violence Situations in the Workplace or Place
of
Employment, Act No. 217 of 2006.
Hazard: Domestic violence in the workplace.
One method to abate the hazard: Develop a written protocol to handle
domestic violence
in the workplace and provide training to all the employees, for have
knowledge and act
if this situation is presented.
Empleados de Koper Furniture Inc., estaban expuestos a la violencia
domestica en el
lugar de trabajo, exponiendose a riesgos de lesiones, enfermedad y
fatalidades. El
patrono no proveyo adiestramiento a sus empleados realcionado a
establecimineto del
protocolo escrito de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo, requerido
bajo la Ley
para la implantacion del protocolo de situaciones de violencia domestica
en el lugar de
trabajo o sitio de empleo, Ley  numero 217 de 29 de septiembre de 2006, y
ley numero
16 del 5 de agosto de 1975 segun enmendada.
Riesgo: Violencia Domestica en el Lugar de Trabajo.
Un metodo para disminuir el riesgo es proveer adiestramiento sobre el
protocolo escrito de
violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo, para que tengan conocimiento y
actuen
