Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee suffered thermal burns to the legs while working on top of the frylator and slipped into the hot frying oil: Location - 2421 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, MA: On or about 7/23/09, the employees were exposed to thermal burn hazards while standing on the hot oil frylators to take down the ventilation panels. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to use a retrieval tool to take down the ventilation panels.tion
