Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: On or about 12/15/2008, at 10101 Glades Road, in the city of Boca Raton, FL, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working approximately 10 feet from ground level without fall protection. Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to follow the equipment manufacturer's recommendation of using a safety belt while working on elevated areas. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
