Health Act of North Carolina:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of
employment and a place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards and were causing or likely to
cause death or serious physical harm
in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard:
a)jobsite,one employee was working from a pallet mounted to the forks of a
Skytrak forklift
(Model 6042) more than 12 feet above the lower level.  This employee was
engaged in the
removal of a metal canopy that measured 24 feel long 8 feet wide without
using any type of
approved fall protection system.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems or personal fall arrest
systems.
