operating the manlift created by the lack of inspection of the manlift to
ensure that the
braking system functioned properly at all times and the manlift could not
become stuck
between work floors stranding an employee in the manlift.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to follow the requirements of ANSI B17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and
Escalators which
identifies the requirement for inspection.

railcars.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to provide employees engaged in railcar spotting with adequate two-way
radios for
communication or some form of audible warning devices to signal employees
when railcars are
to be moved.
