North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Pearl Stitch Area - A Kib below the hook lifting device was not marked with the required information. REF:ANSI/ASME B30.20-1.2.1-2006 Marking: (a) Rated Load: The rated load of the lifting device shall be legibly marked on the main structure or on a tag attached to it where it is visible. NOTE:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to have the lifting device tested and the required information marked on it.
