Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos

During inspection were observed six instances of portable sanitary
services
were observed in an
unhygienic condition due to several conditions such as: dirty, the level
of the seweage was
almost at 8 inches from overflowing, fecal feces on top of sitting top and
in near the sitting top,
fecal feces in the urinal.  Employees had to use the portable sanitary
services to aliviate
themselves.

Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to clean and
empty the portable sanitary services as frequently as needed to provide
higenic conditions to the
employees.
Durante inspeccion se observaron 6 instancias de servicios sanitarios
portables en condiciones
antihigienicas debido a varias condiciones tales como: sucias, el nivle de
agua usada estaba como
a 8 pulgadas de desbordarse, heces fecales encima de la tapa para
sentarse, heces fecales cera
de la tapa para sentarse y heces fecales en los urinales.  Los empleados
tenian que usar los
servicios sanitarios portatitles para desahogarse.

Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
limpiar y vaciar
frequentemente como sea necesario los servisos sanitarios portables para
proveer de condiciones
higienicas a los empleados.
