employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

estaban expuestos
a:
At the construction of Tiendas Capri in Plaza Carolina Shopping Mall a
Structural Steel
Works Inc's  employee was observed standing, fixing the jig and walking on
top of the
boom of a Truck Mounted Crane seven feet above the ground and without the
benefit of
fall protection.  The boom was at the horizontal position.

Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct
this hazard
are:
1.Using a ladder; and
2.Locating the crane in a place where a difference in terrain allows the
jig to be
positioned at few feet from the ground and to the operator to work
confortably.

En la construccion de las Tiendas Capri en el Mall de Plaza CArolina, se
observo un
empleado de Steel Works Inc parado,  arreglando la jiba y caminando
encima del brazo
de un camion de  grua montada (cherry picker) siete pies sobre el suelo y
sin el beneficio
de proteccion contra caidas.  El "boom" estaba en posicion horizontal.

Entre otros metodos, metodos accesibles y aceptables para corregir este
riesgo lo son:
1.Usando una escalera; y
2.Localizando la grua en un lugar donde la diferencia de terreno permita
que la jiba
sea colocada a pocos pies sobre el piso y que el operador pueda trabajar
comodamente.
