Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:05/20/08 Location:South Side of President's House Condition:An employee was exposed to falling object hazards while working in proximate to the discharge end of an improperly installed and jammed debris chute. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement method to correct the hazard is to install the debris chute in accordance with the manufacturer's installation guidelines and to comply with the established operating precautions.
