Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Duties of employers. The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards, as follows: a.Located near the mechanical area on the roof of building "B" of the Hebrew Academy Project. An employee was laying roofing materials, after applying bonding adhesive, the adhesive burst into flames. The employee was caught in the flames of the burning adhesive resulting in his hospitalization with burns on both hands and his right leg. Reference: Material Safety Data Sheet; GAF Materials Corporation, EverGuard TPO Bonding; Section 7 - Precautions for safe handling and use/leak procedures. Observe appropriate static grounding procedures for flammable liquids. Thoroughly evaluated and safe operating conditions must be established and maintained. One acceptable method of abatement, among others, is to follow the material safety data sheet (MSDS).
