Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of: Location - 208 Boardman Street, Haverhill, MA: On or about 07/07/08, the employer failed to provide a workplace that was free from recognized electrical hazards. A feasible means of abatement would be to complete pre-job briefings identifying the hazards related to energized secondary conductors and the requirement of electrical protective equipment including insulated sleeves. Note: This citation was created as a result of the settlement agreement.
