Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 100 feet to the concrete street below: a)Apartment 13D bedroom: On or about July 28, 2008 The window sill ledge fall protection bolts were compromised exposing washers to a fall of approximately 100 feet to the concrete street below. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to maintain window washers fall protection devices such as fixed anchors in a condition as referenced in ANSI IWCA I-14.1-2001, Sections 9.1.1. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 1903.19nce
