Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard from the steel storage racks not being anchored to the floor, on or about 10/11/08. Dave's Goody Barn, Gainesville, GA - Employee that was stacking lumber on racks that were not achored was exposed to a struck by hazard on or about 10/11/08. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to follow the Wireway/Husky Corp. installation instructions and the ANSI standard MH16.1-2008. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
