Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard of falling from a ladder:
(a) Location - Store area at 120 Andover Street, Danvers, MA:
On or about October 22, 2009, while working from a step ladder an employee
over
reached which resulted in a fall.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abating this
condition includes
but is not limited to:
1. Ensure that the employees are trained in the safe use of a ladder
consistent with the
manufactures' recommendations, including but not limited to, do not
overreach, always
keep your belt buckle between the side rails when climbing or working from
ladder. Also
maintaining three point contact with the ladder at all times when
ascending or
descending.
