Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) Date of Violation: 01/10/09 Location: West Side of Building Condition: Employees using 55 gallon metal drums of flammable liquid waterproofing were not protected from hazards associated with static electricity. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct this hazard is to ground the metal drums and all associated equipment in accordance with the recommendations of the waterproofing manufacturer.
