Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment
which were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees in that employees were exposed to:
a)In-bound overstock warehouse area: Employees were being elevated on the
forklift trucks to retrieve merchandise from the overhead racks.  Exposing
employee to a fall hazard 6 to 10 feet above ground level.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
this hazard is:
Employer should prohibit employees for being elevated on wooden pallets
onto
the forks of the Daewoo and Toyota forklift trucks in order to retrieve
merchandise from the top racks.
