Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Overhead under slung cranes not receiving, periodic inspections. An under slung overhead crane did not have any markings to indicate rated load capacity. a) Blanking Department: The overhead under slung cranes had not been inspected on a routine, annual, basis. If the cranes would have been inspected it would have become known that one of the overhead under slung cranes did not have the load rating marked on the crane as required. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
