Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to impalement hazards: This citation is issued to the EXPOSING EMPLOYER under OSHA's multi-employer worksite policy. a) Employees in the Dental Laboratory were working in the proximity of protruding vertical copper and PVC pipes were exposed to impalement hazard. The one-half inch and one inch diameter copper water pipes projected approximately 6 to 14 inches above the floor level. The one and one-half inch diameter PVC air line extended 5 to 6 inches above floor level. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION NOT REQUIRED.TION
