Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards: a) Area E, 20 Morris Street, Morristown, NJ The employer allowed employee(s) to operate E T & F Fastening Systems Nailers Models 210 and 510 pneumatic nail guns without testing the nail gun to ensure it operates properly before use, and without instructing the employees of the nail gun operating pressures and limits: Abatement note: One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is provide training to employees in the correct and safe operation of the E T & F Fastening Systems Inc. Nailers, according the E T & F Fastening Systems, Inc. Operating Manuals for the Model 210 and Model 510 Nailers.
