Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:12/03/08 Location:Landmark Signs Area Equipment:Eyewash Condition:Employees were exposed to corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, Ghost Image Remover Liquid GR-20, with an operable eyewash that was covered with dirt and debris and obscured by chemical resistant jackets stored on top, making it inaccessible in the event of an emergency. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard, ensure that the eyewash is accessible, clean, and maintained in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1, "Emergency Eye Wash and Shower Equipment."
