North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Crushing hazards associated with the collapse of ramps that support elevated vehicles. a)shop bay - the 24 inch high ramp set used to support vehicles was not load rated and showed signs of structural failure. Abatement Note: One means of abatement would be to obtain and post the load limits and include the ram on the monthly inspection sheet and repair noted damage.
