North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of caught in and scalping because methods were not utilized to effectively de-energize the equipment. a)facility, twister machines - for employees operating the Savio, Geminis 240C, ring twisting machine that were not provided a safe means of effectively stopping the machine. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable abatement method among others, to correct this hazard is to install an emergency stop cord along the length of the machine.
